It unscrews in the middle and inside is a tall carved ivory thimble, a bone silk winder, a tiny bone stiletto and a packet of needles.\u00a0The egg has a couple of tiny hairline surface cracks, but is in otherwise excellent condition. It screws together securely and measures 2 1\/8&#8243; long x 1 1\/2&#8243; in diameter. The patina is lovely.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 13.5pt; color: midnightblue;\">The thimble has a slim band carved with roundels and dimpled knurling. The condition is perfect with no chips, cracks or other damage.
