This elegant little antique pin cushion is carved of real ivory with turned concentric circles on both sides. It has a lovely old patina and ivory grain. The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or other damage and it measures 1 1/2″ in diameter.
This type of pincushion allowed the pins to be stuck between the layers, sandwich style around the edges, so that it could be dropped into a work bag without snagging other items. It has a silk ribbon cushion that is original, but worn.
