Antique Carved Ivory Crown Finial Needle Case * English * Circa 1830s

This elegant needle case is carved of real ivory with detailed crown finials at both ends.  The ivory grain and patina are lovely.

The condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or loss. It screws together well and measures 3 7/8″ long. This needle case is shown on p. 22 of Molly Proctor’s book “Needlework Tools and Accessories”.
