Antique Carved Bone Thimble Acorn & Ivory Thimble * Circa 1880

This antique acorn is carved of bone* with all over patterns. Inside is a child’s ivory thimble, smooth with a ruffled rim. It’s in excellent condition with no damage at all and it has a lovely ivory grain & patina. The dark spot on top is a natural occurrence in ivory. It’s about an American child’s size 2 (11.5 mm diameter opening).

The acorn is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage. It screws together perfectly and measures 1 7/8″ long.
