This antique silk winder is carved of beautifully patterned natural tortoise shell and is made to hold multiple colors of silk. Aside from one tiny, shallow insect nibble, the condition is excellent with no chips, cracks or other damage and it's nice and thick. It was bought in England and dates to the mid 19th century. It measures 2 1/4" long by 1 7/8" wide.
